15日夜、TBS系列で放送された『炎の体育会TV』に世界ランク2位のマリア・シャラポワが登場しました。
日本語が分からないシャラポワファンに内容が伝わればと思い、字幕やナレーションを元に英語の説明を添えましたが、番組ではシャラポワの話の途中で日本語の吹き替えがかぶっていて、彼女が話している声はほとんど聞こえませんでした。そのため、彼女の発言が忠実に訳されているかどうかは定かでない点をご了承下さい。

Man: How was the ride?
Maria: It was wobbly.

Maria: Taller every year.
Man: Are you interested in Harajuku?
Maria (female voice-over in Japanese): Very interested.
Maria (female voice-over in Japanese): I knew of the name Harajuku…
Maria (female voice-over in Japanese): I’m also interested in the Harajuku fashion…
Maria (female voice-over in Japanese): So I really wanted to come here.
Man: This is a typical outfit for Harajuku. What do you reckon?
Maria: It really suits you.
Maria: I think it’s very funky.
Maria: (I’m) Kawaii.

VO: Despite her busy schedule, she generously gave us an hour to entertain her.
Man: What’s your impression of Japan?
Maria (female voice-over in Japanese): I have such great memories of Japan whenever I came here.
VO: When Maria was a little girl, she won a tournament in Japan.
